Alta is an alarm clock you switch off by completing a mission. Controller: Advia d.o.o., Ulica Milke Kerinove 11, 8270 Krško, Slovenia (reg. no. 9952250000, VAT SI42773407). Contact: info@altaalarm.app.
What stays on your phone
- The camera feed during exercises. Reps are counted on the phone; nothing is recorded or uploaded.
- Your alarms, progress and App block selection, unless you sign in (see "Account"). On iPhone, the apps you lock are handled by Apple's Screen Time; Alta only knows how many you picked.
Mission photos (Cloud check)
When your phone can't recognise the object itself, one photo per shutter press is sent to our server, cropped and checked by Google Gemini. We get back only a verdict and don't store the photo; Google may keep it briefly to detect abuse and doesn't use it for training. Cloud check is on by default and can be turned off in Settings → Legal → Cloud check. For this, the app signs in anonymously, without any personal details.
Usage statistics
We use PostHog (EU servers) to see which features are used and to fix errors. We record in-app events (for example alarm created or ringing, mission solved, screens opened, purchase started or completed, errors), your answers to the questions at the start (for example age group, gender, sleep and how you feel at night), and device model, OS, app version, language and time zone. Events are tied to a random install number, not to your name, e-mail or account. IP addresses are discarded and no location is derived.
Account (optional)
If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive a user ID, your e-mail (Apple may hide it) and, from Google, your name and profile picture link. We store your alarms, morning history, achievements and onboarding answers in Supabase (EU, Ireland). Settings → Your account → Delete account removes all of it immediately. Without the app, e-mail info@altaalarm.app from your sign-in address and we delete it within 30 days.
Subscriptions
Alta Plus is billed by the App Store or Google Play; we never see payment details. RevenueCat (US) receives the store receipt, an anonymous device ID and basic technical data.
Service providers
Supabase (EU), Google Gemini, PostHog (EU), RevenueCat (US) and Expo (US, app updates) process data on our behalf. Apple or Google handle sign-in if you use it. We don't sell data or use it for advertising. Transfers to the US rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
Legal basis and retention
Account, backup and subscriptions: performance of the service (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Cloud check, statistics and error reports: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)); you can object at any time. Account data is kept until you delete the account; usage events only as long as they're useful for statistics.
Your rights
You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object by writing to info@altaalarm.app; we answer within one month. You can also complain to your data protection authority (in Slovenia: Informacijski pooblaščenec, www.ip-rs.si). Alta is not intended for children under 16 (13 in the US and UK). We don't sell or share personal information as defined by US state laws.
We'll update the date above when this policy changes and announce significant changes in the app.
